okay let's pretend for a moment that these games have something to do with each other to justify posting them together:
They both have yellow carts. The label layout is basically the same. In fact both labels even show characters (who are not in the respective games) standing back to back. Both are later games in series Sintax has covered several times before, and to an extent each recycles something from one of the previous games. Both have Lemmings music. Both are basically platform/shooting games and seem to run on a similar engine, and both are reasonably fun despite some dubious production values. okay maybe these games have a lot in common! but only that stuff. everything else is different.
Kou Dai Yao Guai - Bai Jin Ban (口袋妖怪-白金版)
Sintax Pokemon Platinum: released 2005. Nintendo Pokemon Platinum: released 2008. who are the real pirates eh?
this is a fairly average platformer anyway. the sprites are cute! there are four selectable characters: Psyduck, Flareon, Pichu & Abra. and I have no idea if the MP gauge and the four icons in the bottom right actually do anything (the manual doesn't help) (also there's a story in said manual but its just the one from Pokemon Sapphire)

Yue Nan Zhan Yi 3 (越南戰役3)
this one is a Metal Slug game. and strangely for a company so fond of reusing engines, it doesn't recycle the one from Metal Slug 2001 - or even the one they used in Metal Slug X - but the one they've come up with here isn't too bad. A few graphics are taken from 2001 though (the rest being largely ripped from either the NGPC Metal Slug games or various other sources)

got another game from one of my old videos today - in Chinese it's known as Chao Jin Hua: Shu Ma Bao Long D-3 (超進化 數碼寶貝D-3) but for short I'll call it Digimon D-3, which also happens to be the name of the official English version. It's a fairly okay averageish platformer originally published by SKOB but developed probably by BBD or something.

This was ripped from a 10 in 1 multicart, called "數碼暴龍專集 10 in 1" - as the multicart is only 4mb I was able to dump the whole thing (the Vast Fame ones are larger than that and use some kind of bankswitching which my dumping hardware can't replicate at the moment), so just for completeness I'm posting that as well, but note that it isn't properly emulated in anything. All the other games on it are identical to existing dumps, but it's an interesting cart nonetheless:
- "Digmon Crysta" = Digimon 3 Crystal
- "Digmon Digmon" = Digimon 9
- "Digmon Gold 2" = "Pocket Monsters GO!GO!GO! (Unl) [C][h1].gbc" in goodgbx
- "Digmon Boy" = Digimon D3 ^
- "Digmon Fihgte" = "Gamera - Daikai Jukuchuu Kessen (J) [S][T+Chi].gb" in goodgbx
- "Digmon Mario" = Super Mario Land
- "Digmon Monste" = Monster Truck
- "Digmon Hospit" = Dr. Mario
- "Digmon Battle" = Battle City
- "Digmon Bomber" = Bomb Jack

Site News
I've just added a new page to the site indexing all the dumps I've released so far, including emulator compatibility info; should be an easier way for people to find something they're looking for rather than clicking through five pages of blog posts.
It also serves as a place for me to list undumped games I'm looking for, so hopefully if someone owns one of those games and is searching for info about it, they might find my page and get in touch. (Also if any of you can think of any other rare/unknown/undumped games to list there, please leave a comment!)

well i was going through my old dumps, for reasons, and i've noticed a few of them were overdumps, namely Digimon 3, Digimon 9 and Story of Lasama - these were the dumps made with my old GB Transferer which dumped whatever the header told it to, and in these cases (as it so often is) the header was wrong. so! i've trimmed them down (and for the two Digimons, removed the "fixed" versions which are now unnecessary) - if you care about that sort of thing, you can redownload them at their respective pages: Digimon 3 / Digimon 9 / Story of Lasama

hey it's that time again! once again thanks to Qiezei and one of his fantastical multicarts I'm bringing you another Vast Fame game: Feng Kuang Da Fu Weng (疯狂大富翁), which you could possibly translate as "Crazy Richman" or "Crazy Monopoly" (Richman is a series of popular Taiwanese PC games kinda loosely based on Monopoly, they both share the 大富翁 name in Chinese).
Its sequel has been dumped for a while, but this one has a bigger ROM and consequently a greater variety of events and stuff, despite having fewer characters. I can't exactly get the most out of this not knowing Chinese, but it has a ton of charm and there are a bunch of little self-referential things in there and the music is great and you know. after 10000 mediocre Sintax games this is the sort of thing that makes it all worthwhile for me.
two ROMs this time, the "header fix" version sets the header correctly to allow saving in emulators. and please note there seems to be a bug in the game - I don't know if this happens on the real cart, but if you go to create a new game, then reset before you've finished selecting your character, it will probably corrupt your saves. so don't do that.
